Guest Experience

The key is ready before they arrive.

Online check-in on the guest’s own phone, ID scanning at the desk and registration cards that fill themselves — arrivals walk in pre-checked in and nobody at the counter types a name.

Identity, verified

Identity checks in partnership with Candour

The guest holds their passport to their phone. The chip is read over NFC, their selfie is matched against the photograph stored inside it, and the registration card fills itself — before they have left home.

  • Tap the passport — the chip fills the form, no typing
  • The selfie is matched to the photo in the chip
  • FIDO-certified biometrics, and it can run inside your own infrastructure
What you get

Arrive already checked in.

A link, days before arrival

The confirmation carries a secure check-in link. It opens in the browser on the phone they already have — no app, no password.

Hotel Reverie Check in online

Filled in from the sofa

Details, arrival time, a note about the late flight — done on their phone, whenever it suits them, not while they stand at your counter.

Companions, not just the booker

Everyone in the room gets registered — names, documents and ages on the same form the booker already opened.

J M A

House rules, agreed up front

Rules, deposit terms and consents signed on the phone. The signature and the timestamp stay on the booking.

ID and passport scanning

Hold the document to the scanner — name, number and expiry read themselves into the registration card, and the scan goes to the guest vault.

Registration cards nobody types

Cards, signatures and guest-registry data are built from what the guest already filled in. You print or export — you never re-key it.

Returning guests are recognised

The profile opens with last time’s room, their preferences and the note you left. Most of the form is filled before they touch it.

Arrivals that need one tap

Pre-checked-in guests show green on the board. Tap check-in, hand over the key — the luggage is still in the car.

Tips that catch what you’d miss

A returning guest, an arrival with no room assigned, a document about to expire — flagged on the stay before you even open it.

Hi Jonas, How was your stay?

One tap is enough. It takes a moment, and it helps the next guest choose us.

The flow, hour by hour

One arrival, from the link to the key.

Not features in a list — one guest, from confirmation to the door. This is what an arrival looks like once FOYER runs it.

  1. 3 days out
    The confirmation carries the link

The booking is confirmed and the check-in link travels with it — one tap, in the guest’s own language.

  2. That night
    Filled in from the sofa

Details for three people, a nut allergy noted, house rules agreed. Nothing lands in your inbox — it lands on the booking.

  3. Day before
    The documents arrive

ID photos uploaded where you require them, straight into the guest vault. The arrival turns green on tomorrow’s list.

  4. 15:02
They walk in already checked in

Green flag on the stay, room assigned, key ready. You tap check-in and hand it over.

  5. 15:03
    The paperwork is already done

Registration card built from what they filled in, signature on file, the registry export ready. Nobody retyped a passport number.

  6. Next stay
They are recognised at the door

Preferences, the allergy and last time’s room come back with the profile — the second link is mostly filled before they open it.

Questions

What the desk asks before it switches.

Do guests need to install an app?

No. The check-in link opens in the phone’s browser — no app, no account, no password. If they can open an email, they can check in.

What if a guest ignores the link and just shows up?

Nothing breaks. The desk runs the same check-in in seconds — scan the document, the registration card fills itself, sign and hand over the key. Online check-in shortens the queue; it is never a requirement.

Is scanning a passport chip safe?

The chip is read over NFC directly between the document and the guest’s phone, encrypted, and the biometric match is FIDO-certified through our partner Candour. It can even run inside your own infrastructure, so guest data never leaves it.

Does this satisfy police and statistics reporting?

The registration card records exactly the fields your law requires — for every guest in the room, not just the booker — and exports are one click when an inspector asks.

Can guests who booked on Booking.com use it too?

Yes. The link rides on the reservation, not on how it arrived — OTA guests get the same mail, the same check-in and the same messaging as direct bookers.
