A car pulls in at midnight.
Roadside stays, a night at a time. A good share of them never booked, most are gone before six, and after ten in the evening there is one person on. FOYER is built to close that arrival in under a minute and have the room back on sale before the bed is stripped.
Seven jobs, and one person on tonight.
Switch on what the house needs and leave the rest. Every part writes to the same guest, the same room and the same folio, so the night shift is never asked to keep two systems in step.

What happens on a roadside, and what happens next.
None of this is unusual on a motel. All of it is awkward on software written for a city hotel with a night manager and a concierge.
-
A car pulls in at 23:40 and nobody booked
Take the walk-in on the screen you are already standing at — room, rate, ID and key inside a minute.
EXPERIENCE -
They are gone before you are awake
Close the folio at check-out and the room drops onto the housekeeping board by itself. Nothing to remember in the morning.
PMS -
The room has to be back on sale by ten
Marked clean from the doorway, on a phone. The channels see the availability in the same minute.
HOUSEKEEPING -
Half the night there is nobody at the desk
Take the money by link before they arrive, so a late arrival is already settled and all that is left is the key.
BOOKING -
One night, one card, one receipt
A numbered invoice at the desk or emailed after, VAT on it, without opening a second program.
BILLING -
Tomorrow the rate should follow the traffic
Change it once. Booking.com, Expedia and your own site inside the minute — at two in the afternoon or two in the morning.
CHANNELS
Whoever is on, sees what they need.
A motel runs on shifts, not departments. The screen changes with the hour, and the truth underneath it does not.

FOYER is a native app on iPhone and Android, not a website squeezed onto a small screen. Take a booking from the car, mark a room clean from the doorway, look at tonight’s arrivals from the kitchen — the same property, live, wherever you happen to be standing.

Live in a week, without closing for it.
We load your rooms, your rates and your channels, and train whoever is on the desk on their own shift. Nothing is switched over in the middle of a busy night.
- Day 1 We take what you have
Room types, rates, the channels you sell on and the bookings already in. A spreadsheet is enough.
- Day 3 The property is on screen
Your rooms and your prices, checked against what you told us — not what we assumed a motel looks like.
- Day 5 Both shifts are trained
An hour with the day shift and an hour with the night one, at your desk, on your rooms.
- Day 7 You are running on it
Channels connected, the first invoices issued, and a number to call at two in the morning if something is not obvious.
Easy to learn. Hard to get stuck on.
It is meant to be picked up in an afternoon. When something is not obvious there is a written answer for it, and a person on the end of the line whatever the hour.

Learn it in an afternoon
One screen for the desk, one board for the floor, one till for the restaurant. New staff take bookings the same day they are shown — no manual left open on the counter.
- How do I split a folio? Splitting a folio between two guests Billing a company instead of the guest Issuing an invoice from a folio
A help centre that answers the question
Step by step, on the screens you are actually looking at: split a folio, close the day, connect a channel, correct an invoice. Written for the desk, not for a developer.

Support around the clock
Someone answers at two in the morning and in the middle of August, in your language — a person who knows the property they are talking about, not a ticket queue.
FOYER replaced the paper diary, three OTA extranets and the Excel we billed from. Reception is calmer, rooms are ready sooner, and I can see the whole house from my phone.

What motels ask first.
Most of our arrivals never booked. Is that a problem?
No — the walk-in is a first-class case, not an exception you type around. Pick the room on the calendar, take the details and the payment, print or email the receipt. It is the same screen the desk is already on.
Guests leave before anyone is at the desk.
Settle the folio at arrival or on the way out and the departure closes itself: the room goes to the housekeeping board, the invoice is issued, and nobody has to reconstruct the night afterwards.
Can somebody arrive when there is nobody on?
You can take payment by link before they get there, so the money and the paperwork are done and only the key is left. How the key reaches them is your call — we do not sell the lock.
We take a lot of cash. Does that still work?
Yes. Cash, card and bank transfer all post to the same folio, and the day’s takings are summed by method at the end of it — which is the number you actually want at six in the morning.
We are full in August and half empty in November.
Set seasons and weekend rates once and let the calendar apply them, or change tonight’s price from a phone when the road is busy. Both go out to every channel at the same time.
Do we need a computer person on staff?
No. It runs in a browser on whatever is already at the desk, and on a phone for the rooms. Nothing to install, nothing to back up.
